Caitlin Jochym is a book conservator in Endicott, NY. She has worked in the field of conservation for 15 years. She holds a studio art degree from Albion College and a degree in Book Studies with a concentration in book and paper conservation from the University of Iowa Center for the Book. For the past ten years she has also worked in the conservation lab at Cornell University repairing bound materials for the Cornell Rare and Manuscript Collections. In addition to Cornell University, she has also worked in labs at the University of Iowa and the National Archives. She started her private practice, The Black Finch Bindery in 2013 and since then has done work for museums, historical societies, booksellers, and the general public. Her artwork has been included in several exhibits and has been exhibited around the country. She is a long standing member of the Guild of Book Workers and is a Professional Member of The American institute for Conservation.
